StratumFive Ltd have decided to phase out the MarineTrack brand. The old brand has been in use for 10 years and the decision was to phase out the brand and associated name over a period of time. The new StratumFive brand has been created by Hurley Design. The brief was to reflect the company, extended product portfolio and markets the company intends to operate within.
“It was important we evolved and slowly phased out the MarineTrack brand giving clients and market time to digest the recent ownership changes. We believe now is the time to finally remove the brand and look to the future”, said Stuart Nicholls, managing director, StratumFive Ltd.
The name StratumFive is derived from Stratum – layers of ocean and atmosphere and Five from the number of orbits the company’s existing satellite services operate within.
“The brand brief was left open by management. They wanted a clean fresh logo that would be recognized by the market over a period of time. The brand embraces their technology including satellites and data packets used in their broadening range of machine 2 machine, alarm, alert and monitoring telematic solutions”, described Darren Hurley from Hurley Design Consultants.
